Allocation for Good
1% of our revenue, allocated by our clients.
- 1% of revenue
- 6 nonprofits
- 1 vote per client
- 100% of results published
We allocate resources for a living. Now that includes this.
Every engagement at DMW Advisory starts the same way: here is what you have, here is what you are trying to build, and here is the smartest way to direct every dollar. Allocation for Good takes that same discipline and points it at something bigger than any single client.
DMW Advisory commits 1% of gross revenue, every year, to six of the highest-rated nonprofits in the country. Our clients decide where it goes.
Revenue, not profit. On purpose.
Profit is an opinion. Revenue is arithmetic. A pledge based on profit can be argued away in a lean year, and we did not want a commitment with an exit ramp. One percent of revenue means the same thing in a great year and a hard one.
How it works
1. The fund
One cent of every revenue dollar is set aside through the year. It is not a bonus-year gesture; it is part of the cost of doing business.
2. The vote
Each November, every client with an active engagement gets one vote: six nonprofits, one ballot, two minutes. Participation is optional, as good things should be.
3. The ledger
We divide the fund in proportion to the votes and complete every donation by December 31. Then, in January, we publish the full accounting: total given, dollars per organization, and how many clients voted. No minimums, no fine print.
The 2026 slate
Every organization on the slate meets three bars: a verified 501(c)(3), four stars from Charity Navigator, and a mission we would defend at any dinner table.
- Accion Opportunity Fund. Microloans and coaching for small-business owners that traditional banks overlook. The closest cousin to the work we do every day.Microloans and coaching
- Operation HOPE. Financial literacy and economic empowerment for underserved communities. Eleven consecutive years of four-star ratings.Financial literacy
- Feeding America. The largest hunger-relief network in the country: 200 food banks and 60,000 partner food pantries.hunger-relief
- DonorsChoose. Teachers post classroom projects; donors fund them directly. Four-star rated every year since 2005.classroom projects
- Direct Relief. Medical aid and disaster response across all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a 100 impact score from Charity Navigator.Medical aid
- GiveDirectly. Direct cash transfers to families in extreme poverty, among the most rigorously studied giving models in the world.Direct cash transfers
Two seats may rotate each year. The vote decides how the fund is split, not who is on the slate.
Why we publish the numbers
Most corporate giving pages say "a portion of proceeds." That phrase has funded a lot of private jets and very few food banks. We would rather show you the ledger: one percent in, every dollar accounted for, every January. If a number matters enough to allocate, it matters enough to publish.
Our first client vote opens November 2026. The first ledger posts here in January 2027.
Part of something bigger
Allocation for Good makes DMW Advisory a member of the Pledge 1% movement, alongside more than 19,000 companies including Salesforce and Atlassian. The Pledge 1% standard is 1% of profit. We committed to 1% of revenue: a higher bar, on purpose.
